Hello, one and all! Happy last day of Spring Break. We start our fourth quarter of school tomorrow. Can you believe it? We will be learning about Healthy Bodies this week, March 26 - 30. We will make good health posters in Art, make "bean soup" in the Sensory Table, play with waffle blocks in the Block Center, cook up some healthy food in Dramatic Play, and learn about the letter V. We will continue adding to our Jesus Tree in Religion.

Upcoming days off: April 6 (Good Friday) and April 9 (Easter Monday)

You would not believe how difficult it was for me to get these pictures that were emailed to me from Mrs. Pollard's iphone to this blog! Even with the help of tech support. I am envious of technology savvy people :) Anyway, they are pretty darn cute and we sure had fun watching the volcano erupt during Dinosaur Week.

It's time now for St. Patrick's Day, another one of my favorites (I have a lot of favorites.) We will make rainbow windsocks in Art, pretend to have a St. Patrick's Day Party in Dramatic Play, play with knights and castles in Blocks, fill pots with gold using tongs in the Sensory Table, sort Fruit Loops by color, draw and simple leprechaun, do some Irish dancing, and learn about the letter A. We will continue adding to our Jesus Tree and learn about St. Patrick in Religion.

Wednesday, 3/14 is Pizza Day! Be sure to send money for your child.

Week of 3/5 - 3/9/12

Our theme this week is Circus. We will make elephants in Art, pretend to be circus performers in Dramatic Play, build a circus in Blocks, play with circus animals in popcorn in the Sensory Table, do a science experiment using popcorn kernels and tonic water, have fun performing some easy circus stunts, and learn about the letter K. In Religion we will continue adding to our Jesus Tree as we hear more New Testament stories.

Wed. 3/14 is Pizza Day. Please return your child's order form by this Wed. 3/7.

Spring Break is March 19 - 23!

Ice cream days will be Wednesdays and Thursdays during Lent.

Mrs. Pollard took some great pictures of the kids enjoying our volcano eruption. She emailed them to me and as soon as tech support (Mr. Newton) is able to assist me, I will put them on the blog :)
