Working at the Preschool Paint Store!

Hello, Parents!  Well, I somehow forgot to post last weekend (we'll blame it on Labor Day) so I am starting earlier this week.  We have been having a fantastic time learning about colors.  The kids have loved working in the paint store, learning about mixing primary colors to make new colors, and making our own color books.  We have also been learning about rainbows and we are making a class rainbow.  In religion, we heard the story of how Jamal and Abby become friends at school and how they love going to school and hearing stories about Jesus.  We have talked about how we are all becoming friends in our class, too!  Tomorrow we will be making green eggs and ham after reading the classic Dr. Seuss book, and we will learn about trying new things.

Next week we will continue our color theme.  We will be sorting (and eating) fruit loops, learning how colors diffuse (or bleed) in water, searching for colorful jungle animals in the sensory table, and in religion we will learn all about Noah's Ark.

Remember Parent Teacher Conferences are next week, Thursday after school (9/13) and Friday morning (9/14).  (There is no school on Friday.)  Conference times will be sent home in folders this week.

Show and Tell has been a big hit so far.  Your kids are doing a great job!  If you have forgotten your child's show and tell day, there is a list posted in the classroom by the sign-in sheet.

Ice cream days are Thursdays and Fridays.  Cost is .75 cents.
